Heavy Duty Steering Shafts

Especially on modified vehicles running larger wheels the genuine track rod and drag links are susceptible to bend causing vehicles to lose steering lock, have excessive tow out (30 degrees plus) or make the vehicle undriveable.

Les Richmond automotive has been supplying strengthened track rods and drag links for Range Rovers, Discovery’s and Land Rovers for may years. Built from 32mm outer diameter mild steel with machined ends to utilize the original tie rod ends these upgraded steering links are almost un-bendable.

The track rod (linking the LH and RH wheels) has been machined to use a left hand thread and a right hand thread tie rod end so the tow in and tow out can be adjusted. A stronger fully adjustable steering damper bracket will also be required to connect the steering damper to the heavier steering linkage.
